After leading the game in the first half and then having their problems resurface in the second half, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are still in shock following their defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Kansas City Chiefs failed to score in the second half of a game for the third straight game. After halftime in the defeats against Denver three weeks prior, Monday’s game against Philadelphia, and the victory against Miami in Germany, the offense led by Patrick Mahomes and designed by Andy Reid was flat.
Mahomes’ aunt is even aware of the seriousness of the issue.

By all measures, 2023 hasn’t been too awful for the Kansas City Chiefs, who continue to hold a commanding lead in the AFC.
The Chiefs made offensive mistakes that have not been seen since Andy Reid took over as head coach in 2013 and Patrick Mahomes began his outstanding career as the team’s starting quarterback in 2018. In the final minutes of the game, there were two dropped passes, penalties, and red-zone turnovers among these mistakes.
Surprisingly, Kansas City ranks dead last in the NFL in second-half scoring this season, averaging only 5.3 points after halftime. The Chiefs remain atop the AFC West with a 7-3 record overall.
