Referee Was Caught on Camera Awkwardly Hugging an Eagles Player During the Controversial Victory Against the Cowboys (VIDEO)

This video won’t make things any better for Dallas Cowboys supporters, who already felt like they were badly taken advantage of during the Eagles game.

With the 28-23 victory over Dallas in one of the more bizarre finishes of the season, the Eagles improved to 8-1 heading into the bye week. The Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles game featured all the drama you could want as they battled all the way to the finish and there was plenty of controversy.

Cowboys supporters frequently brought up the fact that the Eagles won some close calls that evening.

Fans were incensed by a specific incident that occurred during the game when they saw a referee embrace for a lengthy time with Philadelphia Eagles safety Kevin Byard.

When Byard was actually given a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty during a fight, the referee was merely attempting to defuse the situation. With nine tackles that evening, Byard had quite the game.

Fans were still not comfortable with this interaction between the athlete and the referee, for whatever reason.

Against the Cowboys, Hurts performed admirably, completing 17 of 23 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns in addition to adding 36 yards and a touchdown with his legs.

With the victory, he now stands at 25-2 after 27 regular season starts.

The 25-year-old quarterback was already limping into the locker room at halftime after taking a hard hit from Micah Parsons that left him with a persistent bone bruise in his knee. Hurts returned for the second half and started working right away despite the injury.

Hurts is fortunate that the Eagles will have a week off to recuperate and strengthen before facing the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football in two weeks.
