The Marvels star Iman Vellani doesn’t want to add the film’s box office struggles to her problems as she claims that is for Bob Iger and not hers.
According to Iman, in an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, she doesn’t “want to focus on something that’s not even in [her] control.”

“Because what’s the point?” she asked. “That’s for Bob Iger.”
The Disney CEO has previously blamed Marvel Studios’ box office struggles on its excess of content on Disney+, explaining that they “had not been in the TV business at any significant level” prior to launching its streaming content.
“Not only did they increase their movie output, but they ended up making a number of television series, and frankly, it diluted focus and attention,” he told CNBC‘s David Faber in July. “That is, I think, more of the cause than anything.”

Iman Vellani believes that the film’s box office struggle “has nothing to do with” her.
“I’m happy with the finished product, and the people that I care about enjoyed the film,” she continued. “It’s genuinely a good time watching this movie, and that’s all we can ask for with these films. It has superheroes, it take place in space, it’s not that deep and it’s about teamwork and sisterhood. It’s a fun movie, and I’m just so happy that I can share it with people.”
