‘Be Careful’- Islam Makhachev Sends a Chilling Message T Justin Gaethje After the BMF Champion’s Request To Dana Wite

Islam Makhachev has walked through the lightweight division as the undisputed UFC champion and might come across a fresh opponent in Justin Gaethje shortly.

After knocking out Dustin Poirier at the Salt Calt Citty, BMF champion Gaerhje is viable for a 155 lbs title shot. That said, Gaethje and Makhachv have already begun feuding on social media. While Arman Tsarkuyan or Charles Oliveira looks one or two more wins far from the lightweight title shot, Justin Gaethje can be the next for Makhachev.

Meanwhile, Islam Makhacev has warned ‘The Highlight’ about having more than one tool in his combat arsenal. Justin Gaethje took to social media and demanded Dana White to put him against Islam Makhachev.

The BMF champion also justified his position over Charles Oliveira and vowed to display his head kick, the same technique that landed the BMF belt for him against Dustin Poirier.

In response, the UFC lightweight champion wrote, “I can do more than kicking, be careful.”

All these factors verify, Islam Makhachev and Justin Gaethje to be the next for each other. However, Dana White is yet to announce anything with several potential twists awaiting. Justin Gaethje has had a failed lightweight title attempt against Khabib Nurmagomedov. Hence, it will be interesting to see whether he can snatch the gold from Khabib’s teammate Islam Makhachev this time.

Is Islam Makhachev Planning To Move Up?

Islam Makhachev has been desiring to become a double champion for a long time. He has also called out welterweight champion Leon Edwards on multiple occasions. Edwards, who recently defended the title against Colby Covington at UFC 296, has also not ruled out Makhachev from his radar.

It will be an interesting fight. Khabib Nurmagomedov has never held a UFC title outside the lightweight division. If Islam Makhachev can bag a gold at 170 lbs after 155 lbs, it shall expand his legacy even more. Nevertheless, he lightweight division can also offer tough competitions for Makhachev.
