Dez Bryant, a former wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, extends the boxing match challenge to ESPN “Culture Vulture” Smith, Stephen A.
Dez Bryant, a former wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, has openly expressed his disapproval of ESPN’s coverage in general, calling out the network’s face, Stephen A. Smith.
Dez even says that, in order to let off some steam, he would like to go into a boxing ring with Smith and Barstool founder Dave Portnoy. Their criticism of him and his career has Bryant angry and dissatisfied.
Bryant wrote on twitter ,
“Funny thing is,” , “they know which current and ex-athletes to target to build their (bleep) companies. … ‘Culture vultures.” … “I’m on a mission to change all that (bleep) and they know it bunch of (bleep).”
Stephen A. Smith responds to Dez Bryant
In response to Bryant’s desire for a boxing match, Smith eventually said he was “sad” after seeing Bryant’s tweet and reassured him that he never had any problems with Bryant personally. Smith said
“Dez, I’m sad that you sent that tweet my brother,” “For the record, to the audience out there, I’ve never had a problem with Dez Bryant, not one time. I love the X. I used to troll them when they were Cowboy fans but I never had an issue with Dez.”

Bryant intends to share his side of the tale, though, and that is his primary focus. While he retracted his suggestion that Smith should box—we don’t need any well-trained professional athlete inflicting actual harm on overweight sportswriters—Dez made it clear that his annoyance is more with how Smith is portrayed on social media. Bryant said ,
“You’re right @stephenasmith, my problem is not with you but I do plan on speaking my story on how I feel about a lot of things,”
We’ll have to wait and see whether Bryant has a chance to voice his opinions about the matter, which is probably going to happen very soon outside of the ring.
