It’s recommended that the Pittsburgh Steelers let go of George Pickens.
George Pickens, focal point of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ locker room culture problems for the majority of the season. Head coach Mike Tomlin has finally acknowledged saying, “We’ve got dealing with adversity issues and sometimes those can be characterized as maturity issues, certainly,” .
Pickens is listed as the top trade candidate because many people think it’s time to make some changes that affect the locker room. Furthermore, according to two national observers, Pittsburgh needs to move on.
The Steelers have been pushed by Charles Robinson and Michael Smith of NBC Sports to take action this offseason and remove the wide receiver from the locker room. Robinson said, “We have to figure out what’s going on with George Pickens,” “I would assess whether he should be in the organization for another year. Given what’s going on with him, I would consider trading him.”
The wide receiver position is expanding, so if the Steelers decide to deal Pickens, they should be able to recoup some of their 2022 second-round pick. It looks more and more like there will be an offseason makeover given the mounting problems and lack of results.
Pickens’s name is undoubtedly one to keep an eye on.
