According to reports, the former undisputed 154-pound champion Jermell Charlo has been arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault.
Jermell was arrested on Saturday in his home state of Texas with the details surrounding his arrest still unavailable to the public and media.

Charlo, 33, has been released. The Daily Mail reported Wednesday that Charlo allegedly assaulted a family member.
Charlo, who resides in the Houston suburb of Richmond, lost a unanimous decision to Canelo Alvarez on September 30 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. He was the fully unified 154-pound champion when he agreed to move up two weight classes to challenge Alvarez for the Mexican superstar’s IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO 168-pound championships in a Showtime Pay-Per-View main event.
Alvarez knocked down Charlo in the seventh round of a fight that was not competitive and won by scores of 119-108, 118-109 and 118-109.

Charlo (35-2-1, 19 KOs) was stripped of his WBO junior middleweight title as soon as he entered the ring to face Alvarez. He has since given up his IBF junior middleweight title, but Charlo still owns the WBA and WBC 154-pound crowns.
Jermell Charlo is arguably the best 154 pound fighter in the world, he is having serious issues with the law and we hope that he gets out of all these troubles with the law.
