Conor McGregor just became a father, one more time, to his fourth child. It’s undoubtedly an emotional phase for his entire family. However, ‘Notorious’ is also focused on his much-anticipated UFC return.

Following two consecutive losses against Dustin Poirier, the Irishman needs an immediate victory to resurrect his win column. Meanwhile, he seems to be honing all the skills in the armor to get the win.  Already known for his striking qualities of a KO-artist, Conor McGregor is now improvising his wrestling game.

Turning to social media, the two-weight UFC champion posted pictures from a grueling wrestling session.

In the caption, he wrote, “Wrestling, the oldest sport.”

Conor McGregor can possibly return to face Michael Chandler, who is a reputed wrestler. Chandler, a former Bellator champion, has had great fights in the UFC so far. He and Conor McGregor have also shared an interesting stint at TUF 31 as coaches.

Conor McGregor has previously suffered a harsh setback against Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018 at UFC 229, the biggest event in the promotion’s history. McGregor’s wrestling game got exposed as Nurmagomedov submitted ‘Notorious’ via rear-naked choke.

McGregor vowed to have prepared for Khabib Nurmagomedov’s wrestling in the pre-fight media appearances. However, the in-cage scenario seemed very different from what ‘Notorious’ had claimed. Michael Chandler any of McGregor’s future opponents can try to beat him under the same parameters.

When Can Conor McGregor Return To UFC?

Dana White has announced the headliners up until UFC 299, in March. So, McGregor can only return after that. UFC 300 in April is expected to be a massive event . Now, ‘Notorious’ has cited his intentions of making a comeback at UFC 300.

Dana White, however, hasn’t reflected similar emotions. Meanwhile, McGregor’s coach John Kavanaugh has claimed that they are looking at July to set the suitable return. So, it’s s till too early to predict when Conor McGregor would enter the UFC octagon again. But it is extremely likely that we see him fight in 2024.
