REPORT : ACL Injury That Ended Connor Williams’ Season

Liam Eichenberg will start at center for the Dolphins in lieu of Connor Williams, and they will be looking for O-line support.

The season-ending knee injury suffered by Miami Dolphins starting center Connor Williams may have an effect on his free agency this coming offseason.

Following his signing as a free agent in 2022, Williams has started 26 games at center for the Dolphins. During Monday night’s 28-27 fourth-quarter loss to the Titans, a Tennessee Titans defender rolled up Williams’ left knee, causing him to tear the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, according to head coach Mike McDaniel.

HC McDaniel talks about Connor Williams

Williams, one of Miami’s offensive line’s best players the previous two seasons, now faces a nine to twelve month recovery procedure. That means the earliest he’ll be allowed to resume football activities may be in the middle of October. McDaniel said

“You don’t directly replace [him] necessarily,” “He was playing some excellent ball. His journey, position switching, and finding good footing, you don’t replace that directly.”
