This season, David Njoku just can’t seem to avoid those house mishaps. Luckily, they seem to be improving his performance on the field only.
Just over a week ago was the tight end for the Cleveland Browns most recent in-home disaster. Njoku claims that he stubbed his toe strolling around his house, requiring stitches because the damage was so severe that it bled all over.
Despite his horrific injury, he was able to play and have an impact on the game a few days later against the Chicago Bears, when he caught 10 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown in a 20-17 victory.
AWFUL: #Browns TE David Njoku revealed he had another home incident last week, only a couple weeks after suffering severe burns due to another home incident.

Even while the toe injury is serious, it’s definitely a lot more pleasant than his last at-home mishap, in which the veteran, 27, was seriously burned on his face and arm while attempting to start a fire pit.

Njoku played through the discomfort that week despite the painful burns, recording a team-high six receptions for 46 yards in the Ravens’ 28-3 defeat.
Njoku’s performances suggest that another stubbed toe might not be all that horrible, so hopefully he can stay safe and prevent any more home mishaps.
