The Chicago Bulls supporters had another memorable Saturday night as Derrick Rose returned to the Windy City.
The former cornerstone of the Bulls was unable to suit up in front of the United Center audience because of a thigh injury. He is currently a player for the Memphis Grizzlies. Still, the relationship is strong and both parties will always be respected.
Joakim Noah didn’t let Rose’s return to Chicago pass him by, attending the game to see his cherished old running partner with the Bulls.

Wedding “Best Men”
Joakim also joined Stacey King and Adam Amin on NBC Sports Chicago to commentate on the Grizzlies vs. Bulls game. When asked about his role as an officiant at Rose’s wedding, Noah could only give an honest answer.
Noah had said jokingly then, “I’m not gonna lie to you guys I was nervous as hell,” “I’ve never done that before, but I had to do that for Pooh. Really happy I got to do that.”
In a glamorous Beverly Hills wedding last September, Rose and his longtime partner Alaina Anderson exchanged vows. Their family and friends, including Taj Gibson, their former teammate from the Bulls, greeted them to the celebration.

Joakim just gave Derrick back everything he did for his 2022 wedding, for which the former NBA player was the photographer.

Rose and Noah served as the Bulls’ leaders during their tenure. They were a part of the team’s ups and downs for eight seasons, helped Chicago win numerous playoff games, and played together. Noah said,
“I think that’s what it’s all about, you know,” “I remember Derrick’s first day after he got drafted to the Bulls. I was here for a year. He’s been my little brother since Day 1. We have a lot of great memories here. To be able to share those memories — obviously, there were highs and lows — but you know what, in every relationship, it’s like that.”
Their friendship as brothers will endure even though their on-court partnership has ended during the previous few years.
