The Los Angeles Lakers dropped their most recent game against their closest rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers, on Tuesday, dropping to a 2-3 record without its superstar LeBron James on the field.
The Lakers had a good shot to win, but their chances were slim because they were without James and Anthony Davis in the closing minutes. James sustained a left ankle peroneal tendinopathy injury that caused him to miss his fifth game of the season.
That’s the reason he’s been on the injury report for the past several games, so hopefully nothing too serious.
Head coach of the Lakers, Darvin Ham, stated prior to the game on Tuesday that he will probably be “day-to-day” going forward.
Darvin Ham on LeBron James: "Just trying to be proactive with his ankle. Probably will be day to day."

With James, the Lakers have had difficulty winning, and they aren’t getting any better without him. When James is unavailable, it is a huge loss since he is the ultimate game-changer. I’m sure the Laker supporters are hoping he’ll be available when the purple and gold take on the Chicago Bulls on Thursday.
This season, nothing has gone well for the Lakers. Any major or minor absence from any of the team’s essential players would be disastrous.
