REPORT : Before the Wild Card Game, the Buffalo Bills Are Pleading With Their Supporters to Assist With Shoveling Snow at Highmark Stadium

The postponement of the Buffalo Bills playoff game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers is understandable, but a lot of work remains before thousands of people get out to see the game.

The Buffalo Bills issued out a notification asking any fans to assist them in clearing snow from the seats at Highmark Stadium in preparation for Monday’s Super Wild Card game. The team is still in need of assistance in clearing thick snow from the stadium.

Via the report:

  • There is a limit to the first 200 shovelers that show up to Highmark Stadium and register at the Jani-King office trailer.
  • Shovelers can arrive and register beginning at 12 midnight and shovel snow throughout the night and into Monday morning.
  • The rate of pay is $20 per hour.
  • Complimentary beverages and breakfast in the morning will be provided in a comfortable warm break area.
  • Those interested in shoveling must have proper photo identification (driver’s license, state ID) to work.

The game was rescheduled from Sunday to Monday in Buffalo at 4:30 p.m. ET. The weather and a lot of snow are still major issues.

Over the weekend, the storm was expected to deliver one to three feet of snow. Up until Monday morning, much of Erie County, New York, was prohibited from traveling.

The Steelers players began their preparations for what is sure to be a rough game with a lot of rushing plays on Sunday when they landed in New York.

The National Weather Service predicts that Monday will have a low of 14 degrees, wind chills as low as -5 degrees, and up to half an inch of snowfall.
