Recently, Travis Kelce voiced his displeasure with the way Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has been treated by the media.
With seventeen consecutive winning seasons to start a coaching career, Tomlin owns the record. He has also never experienced a losing season. With a victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers improved to 9-7 and guaranteed Mike Tomlin’s run would continue. That really is incredible.
The Steelers’ three straight losses to the Cardinals, Patriots, and Colts cast doubt on the season, so things weren’t always going well this year. Mike Tomlin should be dismissed, according to many in the media.
Travis Kelce destroys the media
Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Chiefs, crushed the media on this week’s episode of the New Heights Podcast.
“They were talking about firing [Mike Tomlin] seven weeks ago,” Jason said.
“The media are so dumb,” Travis said. “Why do we even do media? They’re just a bunch of jackasses.”
As he defended Tomlin, stating, “One of the best coaches the NFL has ever seen, about to possibly get his 17th consecutive non-losing season,”

The Steelers have been led by Tomlin since 2007. The squad has often finished above.500 with a winning record under his direction, including a memorable Super Bowl triumph in 2009. The Steelers enter the last game with a 9-7 record thanks to Tomlin’s leadership.
The Steelers would make their 11th postseason appearance under Tomlin if they win and lose against the Buffalo Bills or Jacksonville Jaguars.
