Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Saquon Barkley seems to imply that his tenure with the New York Giants is drawing to an end.
In the regular season finale, Barkley and the Giants upset the Philadelphia Eagles, their bitter rivals, 27-10, to conclude with a 6-11 record. Given that Barkley’s contract is up, it’s likely that Sunday was his last game playing for the NFC East team.
After the game, Barkley said to reporters that he made the effort to thank every member of his squad, just in case this was his final game with New York. He said,
“I just made sure that I went around and told every single player that I’m thankful for them and it was an honor to play alongside all these guys,”
