Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, showed off his dual-threat skills on Monday night against the Steelers with an incredible 52-yard touchdown run. It appears that his cunning maneuver made the play possible.
Allen seemed to use a fake slide to slow down the Pittsburgh defense before he shot past several defenders and into the end zone. The Bills quarterback made a smart move, but it infuriated a lot of supporters.
When he feigned sliding once, defenders were not going to let up again, which resulted in a Pittsburgh defender hitting him hard the second time he actually slid. A side-by-side video demonstrates how awful the play really is.
He was punished as a result.
Josh Allen fake slid and gained an extra 20 yards, later in the game he actually slid and the defender was forced to hit him because he was afraid of giving up a big play & was penalized for it.
This needs to be fixed by the NFL.

Defenders will start teeing off to make sure quarterbacks slide to make them think twice if they plan to use the fake slide.
In Monday’s 31-17 wild-card victory over the Steelers, Allen completed 21 of 30 pass attempts for 203 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 74 yards and a fourth score on eight carries.
