If one Los Angeles Chargers player winds up moving this summer, don’t be shocked. In the 2024 offseason, there are rumors that the Chargers may deal veteran edge rusher Khalil Mack.
Pro Bowl edge rusher Khalil Mack of the Los Angeles Chargers is reportedly being targeted by “multiple teams,” according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Fowler said,
Los Angeles Chargers edge-rusher “is one in particular that I know multiple teams I’ve spoken to have an eye on because he had the 17 sacks a year ago. Huge cap hit and [the Chargers] can save $20-plus million on their cap if they were to trade or move on. Maybe there’s a trade possibility for a team in need of a pass rusher and there will be many in that market around free agency.”

Although he is under team control throughout the offseason, the 6’3′′, 239-pound future Hall of Famer has little control over where he ends up when the 2024 NFL season begins.
While playing with the Chicago Bears, Mack signed a six-year, $141 million contract, of which $60 million was guaranteed at the time of signing.
With a personal-best 17 sacks this past season, the three-time All-Pro and 2016 Defensive Player of the Year shown that he still has plenty left in the tank. In addition, he recorded 22 quarterback hits, 10 passes defensed, five forced fumbles, and 74 tackles, 21 of which were for loss.
The number of passes defensed, sacks, and tackles for loss were all career highs. For his efforts, he was selected for his ninth Pro Bowl.
