Following the Eagles’ 32-9 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Wild Card round, which came after a late collapse in the NFC East, NFL champion Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles has reportedly asked Shaquille O’Neal, the legendary Los Angeles Laker and NBA star, for advice on how to handle retirement.
The 36-year-old Kelce is determined to be engaged in football even if he may give up the game after the season ends badly in order to focus on other endeavors like his New Heights podcast with his brother Travis or a coaching career.

The seven-time Pro Bowler has O’Neal’s support as he makes this difficult decision. O’Neal acknowledged that he made many mistakes after leaving the NBA and urged Kelce to put his attention on his loved ones. Shaq said,
“My advice to you is if you are going to retire, accept it, (and) enjoy your family brother,’
“I made a lot of dumb mistakes to where I lost my family and I didn’t have anybody.
“That’s not the case for you. So enjoy your beautiful wife. Enjoy your beautiful kids, and never dwell on what we had. What we had is what we got.”
Shaq’s mishaps after retirement
After being married in 2018, Kelce has a wife named Kylie and three girls named Wyatt Elizabeth, Elliotte Ray, and Bennett Llewellyn. However, while appearing to have a happy marriage from the outside, Kelce has continued to lead a party lifestyle.
In sharp contrast, the four-time NBA champion acknowledged that his mistakes have left him feeling alone. He called himself a habitual cheater and lost his wife to divorce in 2011 after the couple had six children together. Shaq added, “You got the ring,”
“People know who you are. Enjoy.
“Because again, I was an idiot and I’ve talked about it a long time, I lost my whole family. I’m in a 100,000 square foot house by myself.”
According to reports, Kelce is considering a move into broadcasting as a pundit and analyst, and if he decides to pursue this path, NBC, CBS, and Amazon are all eager to have him join their teams. Kelce has previously worked on Amazon’s Thursday Night Football program and had spoken with ESPN and Fox.
