With Patrick Mahomes leading the team, the Chiefs have won three Super Bowls.

The San Francisco 49ers were defeated 25-22 on Sunday when Mahomes found Mecole Hardman for a game-winning touchdown in overtime. The Chiefs’ victory in the Super Bowl marks their third in five seasons and their second in a row. After defeating San Francisco at the end of the 2019 season, it is also their second Super Bowl victory over the 49ers.

Mahomes produced another outstanding performance, finishing 34 of 46 throws for 333 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.

He led the Chiefs on the drives that tied the score at the end of regular and won it in overtime. In the overtime, he used his feet to convert two first downs, including a run on fourth-and-1 to keep the Chiefs in the game.

On a fourth-and-1, Mahomes dashed 19 yards to set up the winning score after running 8 yards to preserve the Chiefs’ chances.
Red-and-yellow confetti dropped on the ground as the Chiefs ran onto the field after he connected with an open Hardman.
