Steph Curry, the top point guard for the Golden State Warriors, had a difficult game from the field as the team lost to the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night. Curry struggled mightily with his shot, finishing with 20 points on 6/19 from the field and 1/10 from beyond the arc. Following the game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr noted that Curry appeared a little tired:
Steph Curry’s had three rough shooting nights out of the past four. Steve Kerr mentioned he’s looked fatigued. Schedule remains condensed coming up. Sounds possible they find him a night of rest. pic.twitter.com/mjW6Bz7Rjf

The Warriors find themselves in a difficult situation because, although older players tend to seek out rest games during this time of year, Golden State is unable to play below par every night.
Steph Curry’s assessment of the loss
The Warriors need every victory they can get in order to escape the play-in picture or at the very least move up to the top of the play-in bracket.
After the game, Curry addressed the media and refuted the notion that he is worn out. He also offered some insight into his recent shooting slump:
Steph Curry said he isn’t fatigued: “No.” Doesn’t feel he needs a rest night: “No.”
On his recent mini slump: “It’s why they’re called averages. There’s highs and lows…The standard you set, when you don’t meet it, there are questions: ‘Are your legs tired?’” https://t.co/DuD4G4QNt2 pic.twitter.com/R2qcvI3lnG

Sometimes it’s as easy as making and missing shots. Curry is certain that he will overcome his shooting funk without having to take a game off. He does not believe that weariness has played a role in it.
Curry may still get a rest game in the near future, but the Warriors will need to plan ahead when they make that decision.
