During Super Bowl LVIII coverage, J.J. Watt‘s new haircut became an instant target for criticism. Watt, though, is welcoming it. After another thrilling edition of the game, Super Bowl LVIII concluded with the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Lombardi Trophy.
J.J. Watt, a Houston Texans legend who appeared on CBS’ Super Bowl television broadcast, was involved in one of the more surprising narratives to emerge from Las Vegas.
In addition, even though Watt gave an excellent performance on the stage, his spikey new hairdo caught the attention of the audience.

However, as Watt stated on a recent visit on the Pat MacAfee Show, he is enjoying his new hairstyle despite receiving negative feedback on social media. Watt said,
“All of them are fair. I like it, so I really don’t care,” “There’s some Guy Fieri there, there’s certainly some Sugar Ray, there’s definitely a little 90s boy band action. There are no frosted tips, I don’t think I took it to that extreme. But I absolutely loved the memes and the jokes. They were hilarious.”

Food Network celebrity Fieri, who is well-known for his eccentric hairstyles, even joined in on the joke, telling Watt on X that he thought it was a “good look.”
All being said, Watt stuck to a recent, quite self-aware Instagram post rather than adjusting in response to the jokes and criticism.
