Coaching runs in the Belichick family. Steve Belichick, son of Bill Belichick is applying for a job elsewhere and wants to expand his horizons.
Field Yates of ESPN reports that Belichick and Patriots running backs coach Vinnie Sunseri are interviewing at the University of Washington for defensive positions on Jedd Fisch’s staff. According to Yates,
“A pair of Patriots assistant coaches – OLB coach Steve Belichick and RB coach Vinnie Sunseri – are interviewing for defensive jobs on Jedd Fisch’s staff at University of Washington today,”

For the previous four seasons, Belichick—the illustrious son of former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick—called the defensive plays for the team.
After 24 seasons, Bill Belichick and the Patriots amicably decided to part ways last month, and Jerod Mayo, a longtime linebackers coach and inside linebackers coach, was elevated to head coach.
After getting a new job, it was expected that Bill Belichick would bring both Steve and Patriots safeties coach Brian Belichick with him. However, the six-time Super Bowl winner only had interviews and was passed up for a position with the Atlanta Falcons.
As all the positions seems to have run out now.
