The Pittsburgh Steelers are keeping all of their quarterback choices open for the 2024 campaign, even if it’s early in their summer.
Art Rooney II, the president of the Steelers, stated that they are “not closing the door” on a possible trade for a quarterback in an interview with Bob Pompeani of KDKA-TV.

It’s reasonable to presume that Kenny Pickett won’t be the starting quarterback come football season.
Steelers conundrum with Quarterbacks
By sticking with Mason Rudolph at the end of the season, even though the second-year signal-caller was cleared to play ahead of a Week 17 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin effectively benched Pickett.
After that game, Tomlin did clarify that Rudolph had already completed the majority of the first-team reps in practice when Pickett’s clearance arrived late in the week.

During Week 18 and the playoff game over the Buffalo Bills, Rudolph continued to start. In three regular-season starts, he had a strong performance with 716 yards, three touchdowns, and a 74.7 completion %. In contrast, Pickett completed 12 games with 2,070 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions from the pass.
Justin Fields is the most well-known quarterback most likely to be dealt this summer, though the Chicago Bears could surprise everyone by keeping him and surrendering the first overall pick in the 2024 draft.
