Following a lawsuit alleging that she attempted to blackmail Dak Prescott for $100 million, a woman and her lawyers have filed a civil case against the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, claiming that he sexually attacked her in 2017.
In the Thursday-filed civil lawsuit that CNN was able to access, the woman and her lawyers claim that on or around February 2, 2017, Prescott sexually molested her. CNN was informed by Dallas police that they had received an allegation of a sexual assault on Tuesday.
The victim claims that while driving in a black SUV toward a strip club in the Dallas region, Prescott sexually attacked her.
Dak Prescott’s Lawyer speaks about the latest development
Prescott allegedly exposed himself to the woman, and after she rejected his advances, he used physical force to rape her, according to the complaint.
The Cowboys quarterback’s lawyer, Levi McCathern, refuted the accusations made against Prescott, claiming the case was an effort at a “illegal shakedown.”
In a statement provided to CNN on Thursday, McCathern stated:
“The timing is important here,” “The extortion investigation began first. She didn’t go to any law enforcement for over 7 years. But once they (attorneys and the accuser) become aware that the $100,000,000 extortion plot has failed and that they are the subject of a criminal investigation they, for the first time, file a police report in a different jurisdiction[.]”

Prescott filed a lawsuit on Monday, claiming that a woman was attempting to coerce him into paying her $100 million. Prescott’s lawyer alleges in an 11-page lawsuit filed in Collin County that the woman’s attorneys sent an email in January addressed to the football player at Mississippi State University, Prescott’s college.
In exchange for payment, it said she would not pursue criminal charges against Prescott in relation to a purported sexual assault that occurred in February 2017.
Prosper, Texas, police confirmed to CNN that they talked with one of Prescott’s attorneys and that they were investigating his allegation of extortion.
