NFL star Dak Prescott is facing some wild sexual assault accusations. He’s been accused of assault and slapped with a jaw-dropping $100 million extortion scheme. With the accuser’s attorney throwing around words like ‘rapist’ and promising criminal charges hotter than a Texan summer, this ain’t your average game day drama. Can Dak dodge this legal blitz, or will he be tackled behind the line of scrimmage?
The alleged incident involving Dak Prescott came to light when his accuser’s attorney publicly labeled him a rapist. The attorney vowed to pursue criminal charges against the Cowboys star in Dallas.
Prescott found himself entangled in a legal battle after being sued by his accuser, Victoria Baleigh Shores, over an assault claim dating back to 2017. The situation escalated when the NFL star retaliated, accusing the accuser of attempting an extortion plot worth $100 million.
For Dak Prescott, these allegations not only threaten his career but also cast a shadow over his public image. Being labeled a rapist can have far-reaching consequences beyond the courtroom, affecting endorsements, fan support, and personal relationships.
‘Dak is a rapist,’ attorney Yoel Zehaie told DailyMail.com via LinkedIn. ‘And our story will be heard. Our client is making a police report today in Dallas for aggravated sexual assault. More women have reached out to us saying they want to come forward. We are filing are own lawsuit as well.’
Yoel and Bethel Zehaie represent Victoria Baleigh Shores, who is accusing Prescott of sexually assaulting her in the back of an SUV in 2017 following his rookie season in the NFL.
On Monday, Prescott pre-emptively sued Shores and both of her attorneys over an alleged $100 million extortion plot centered around the sexual assault claim, which his lawyer has characterized as ‘completely fabricated.’
Prescott has not been charged with any crime in the case. His attorney, Levi McCathern, did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Zehaie’s statement.
In January, Prescott received a letter from attorneys Bethel and Yoel Zehaie on behalf of Shores, according to a suit filed in Texas’ Collin County and provided to DailyMail.com by McCathern. The letter contained the claim that Prescott sexually assaulted Shores in the back of an SUV on February 2, 2017 after the two had become acquainted on Snapchat..
‘On the ride to [redacted] you exposed your genitalia. Ms. Shores did not want to engage in sexual intercourse and made sure to verbalize her wishes. Afterwards, the car came to a stop at your destination. Once this occurred, everyone got out of the car expect you, and you further signaled to one of your entourage members to leave you and Ms. Shores alone.
‘At this point, you used physical force and sexually assaulted Ms. Shores by penetrating her vagina without her consent.’
The letter informs Prescott that Shores is ‘willing to forego pursuing criminal charges, along with disclosing this information to the public, in exchange for compensating her for the mental anguish she has suffered.’
Prescott is then told that ‘Ms. Shores’s damages are valued at the sum of $100,000,000.00’ and he had ‘until February 16, 2024’ to respond.
Prescott does not deny having consensual intercourse with Shores.
His filing explains that he was ‘single’ at the time of the alleged assault and goes on to say that Shores’ behavior over the last seven years is ‘consistent with being involved with only consensual actions with Mr. Prescott.’
‘The fact that Mr. Prescott did not hear a single negative thing about this supposed interaction from nearly a decade ago is truly telling of Defendants’ motives,’ read the filing.
This situation is dicey! From assault allegations to extortion plots, it seems like the NFL isn’t just about touchdowns and field goals anymore. Guys, this rollercoaster ride isn’t over yet!
