Although the Buffalo Bills made a number of significant defensive line adjustments early in the offseason, it now appears that they are keeping a valuable player.
The Bills are re-signing defensive tackle DaQuan Jones to a two-year, $16 million contract with $10.5 million guaranteed, according to sources from the local Buffalo sports website Cover 1.

With a brief two-word tweet on X (previously Twitter), Jones effectively confirmed the news.
“WE BACK!!!!! #GoBills,” he tweeted.

Jones, 32, was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Penn State, where he spent seven seasons as a player. Prior to joining the Bills in 2022, he played for the Carolina Panthers for a single season in 2021.
Jones has recorded 26 career games (including postseason games) with the Bills, with 58 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, one fumble recovery, and one blocked punt. Jones has relocated to Buffalo, New York, which is roughly three hours’ drive northwest of Johnson City, where he was born and raised. It looks like he’s here to stay for the time being.
