During a recent phone call, there was a heated fight between two of ESPN’s most well-known characters.
According to information obtained by The Post, Pat McAfee and Stephen A. Smith had a furious private conversation a few weeks ago. Things became so bad that McAfee called Smith a “motherf–ker.”
The conflict stemmed from artistic disagreements about an unidentified project that Stephen A. Smith is executive producing through Mr. SAS Productions, his own production firm, and which would eventually air on ESPN. Wow.
According to information obtained by The Post, Smith had barred McAfee from future appearances on “First Take,” where he was a weekly Tuesday fixture during the football season.
But both parties said their differences have been settled after The Post made contact.
Smith maintained there was never a prohibition, while McAfee claimed he was unaware of any.
A representative for ESPN declined to address the issue.
