Kylie Kelce revealed an intriguing detail: Jason Kelce spent four years crafting it before delivering it on Monday. Speaking with the local press in Philadelphia, Kylie said she had heard the speech prior to its official delivery and that she was impressed by its strength and how well it encapsulated his 13-year NFL career.

She said, “I think I was the only one that had heard the speech before he went into it,” “I think it was just a perfect summary of 13 years. It was an incredible run he had as a player in the NFL. I’ve heard multiple versions over the last four years. This was a completely different version. I think every year he sort of started from scratch as to what was sitting on the surface,”
“But when he said that he was contemplating retirement for years, he means for years.”
Everyone broke down crying during Jason Kelce’s speech
Not only did Kelce’s wife cry during the ceremony, but his brother Travis also clearly broke down in tears as a result of his speech. When Jason praised Travis for his important contribution to his profession, both of them experienced an emotional moment. Donna, their mother, was visibly moved as well throughout the moving retirement speech.

Jason’s emotional state was also apparent, as he found it difficult to contain his tears during the 40-minute speech. He honored his wife and the city of Philadelphia, emphasizing how important it was to meet Kylie during a 2014 Philadelphia Eagles Christmas Party.
