LeBron James’s Injury Update Ahead of Indiana Pacers Game Tonight

LeBron James in action against the LA Clippers

LeBron James plays 38 minutes in a victory over the Sixers, but his status is once again in doubt as the Lakers host the Pacers.

The Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James have been winning lately. The Purple and Gold are as good as ever, having won four of their last six games. The Lakers just defeated the 76ers with a commanding victory, led by James, who played 38 minutes and finished with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. The Lakers will try to extend their winning streak when they play the Pacers at the Crypto.com center today after defeating the 76ers.

The club may struggle against the Pacers despite their impressive appearance, primarily because of an insufficient number of healthy players. LeBron James and Anthony Davis appear dubious; James is listed as “questionable” and Davis as “probable” in the injury report for the Lakers vs. Indiana game.

The 39-year-old James has been experiencing frequent flare-ups from left-ankle discomfort, also known as peroneal tendinopathy, according to the injury report. James did bring up his ankle problems at the 76ers game’s post-game news conference. According to James’ explanation, even though he doesn’t play against the Pacers, things aren’t too serious and the Lakers may anticipate his return soon.

LeBron James aims to qualify for the playoffs

The NBA’s oldest active player is LeBron James. King James is 39 years old, yet he hasn’t slowed down at all. James has averaged 25.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 8 assists on 53% of his shots this season. With the playoffs getting closer, the King has even raised his statistics. Since the start of March, he has averaged 26.0 points, 9.1 assists, and 8.0 rebounds per game.

Now that LeBron and Anthony Davis have carried the team all season long, it is up to the young core of the Lakers to provide support for the superstar players. Rui Hachimura and Taurean Prince will also need to show up, as the Lakers desperately need to improve their three-point shooting and defensive coverage.
