There may not have been a day in recent memory when Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal did not try to get back at each other. The co-hosts of Inside the NBA are in a constant fight to get under each other’s skin in any way they can. Shaquille O’Neal appears to have already made his move, going back nearly two decades to release Charles Barkley’s mugshot on social media.
Shaquille O’Neal, a Los Angeles Lakers legend, recently shared a mugshot of Charles Barkley from 1997, when the latter was involved in an argument and ended himself in problems with the authorities.

Mugshot posted by Shaquille O’Neal explained
The incident occurred in Orlando, where a man threw his drink at Charles Barkley. According to the Washington Post, the incident occurred at Phineas Phogg’s tavern in Church Street Station.
According to the post, Jorge Lugo, then 20, hurled a glass of ice at Barkley and three other ladies sitting at his table. Jugo then ran up to the front of the pub before being caught and slammed against a pane of glass.
An off-duty police attempted to intervene in the brawl between Charles Barkley and Jorge Lugo. However, Barkley had already grabbed Lugo, who was a foot shorter than him, and thrown him through the window.
Cops version of Charles Barkley reaction back then
As the man lay on the floor bleeding, the police reported Barkley telling Lugo, “You got what you deserved.” You do not respect me. “I hope you are hurt.” Lugo was brought to the hospital with a laceration on his right arm.
Barkley was brought into custody and charged with resisting arrest without violence and aggravated battery. He spent five hours in jail and was freed on a $6000 bond. Barkley showed no remorse at all. In fact, when asked whether he had any regrets, Barkley responded, “Yeah, I regret we were on the first floor.”
Barkley stated, “I will defend myself at all times.” “I’ve made that clear throughout my time in the NBA.”

Though Barkley was eventually arrested and tried, the Hall of Famer had no regrets, especially after being insulted by another man for inexplicable reasons. It’s easy to suppose that anyone in Barkley’s position would have been annoyed. However, Barkley’s level of violence was vast, to say the least, and he has learnt to limit it over time.
