Former teammates on the field, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are now business partners in restaurants.
The elite players of the Kansas City Chiefs said on Thursday that they will be collaborating to create a steakhouse called 1587 Prime. Their jersey numbers are combined to form the name.
The new business endeavor will be housed in the Loews Kansas City Hotel and is billed as the “ultimate experiential dining destination.” The sportsmen and the international hospitality group Noble 33 are working together to make 1587 Prime a reality. It will open in the first part of 2025.
Travis said in a statement,
“We’re excited to be a part of this journey with Noble 33 to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience, and what better place to start than our very own Kansas City,”
The enormous, contemporary restaurant will be two stories and 10,000 square feet in size. In addition to many private dining rooms, a state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen, and an eye-catching meat display, 1587 Prime will also feature other “hyper-subtle nods” to Mahomes’ and Kelce’s football accomplishments.
Kelce paid a visit to the Mēdüzā Mediterrania of the group in New York City in September. Additionally, Mahomes and Kelce have both been to Toca Madera in Las Vegas.
Following their victory in the Super Bowl in February, the couple has been spending their off-season with their loved ones.
Earlier this month, Kelce went to Singapore to help his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, during a stop on her Eras Tour.
