As the Lakers’ Division Widens, LeBron James Is Joined by Darvin Ham in Annoyance With Anthony Davis

The Los Angeles Lakers’ situation does not appear to be improving. Due to the consequences from the Lakers’ 2-0 loss to the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Playoffs, LeBron James has grown tired of Anthony Davis and has witnessed Davis disparage Lakers coach Darvin Ham. Ham made it plain that he does not co-sign Davis’ excuses as Game 3 drew near.

Darvin Ham gets back at Anthony Davis

Throughout the season, Ham’s coaching strategies have drawn criticism from James, Davis, fans, and the media, among others. The 50-year-old coach is frequently the target of the Lakers when they seek a scapegoat.

In Game 2, Los Angeles managed to tie the series at one point with a game won in Denver, but they let a twenty-point lead slip away in the second half, as Jamal Murray crushed their hearts at the buzzer.

James was clearly irritated with Davis’ lack of effort throughout the game.

After the game, AD attributed the Lakers’ struggles to their coaching staff once more, saying that they “have stretches when we don’t know what we’re doing.”

In a clear response to that jab, Ham stated that his coaches “pride themselves” on their organizational skills. He attributed Davis’ remarks to exasperation. He said,

“I’ll agree to disagree on that one,”

If James, Davis, and Ham expect to advance past the reigning NBA champions, they must figure out a way to get back on the same page when the series returns to Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The Lakers’ season is done, and the LeBron James era in Los Angeles may finish early if they don’t win four of their next five games.
