It only seemed fitting for Caitlin Clark to flaunt her stylish flair prior to the Indiana Fever’s Tuesday WNBA debut in front of a sold-out crowd.
Wearing matching Nike Air Force 1 Low Tiffany & Co. 1837s and a matching purse, the 22-year-old arrived at Mohegan Sun Arena ready to take on the Connecticut Sun in the regular-season opener. The tumbled leather ‘Tiffany Blue’ swoosh insignia is adorned on the black suede sneaker. The shoe may sell for more than $1,500 on the used buying market, despite only costing $400 at launch.
They also include exclusive accessories co-branded with Tiffany & Co. in sterling silver, including a silver whistle, shoe brush, and shoe horn. Additionally, the No. 1 draft pick chose to wear Nike Kobe 6 Protro Grinches as she took the court. The former Iowa Hawkeyes player signed a $28 million contract with the world’s largest sportswear company, which will keep him wearing the most exclusive Nike merchandise until 2032.
Despite recording a team-high 20 points and three assists, her debut was disappointing as the Fever lost to the Sun 92-71.
WNBA players dress to wow
Clark has a history of using her wardrobe to make a statement. She dressed in Prada for her MET GALA Debut.
Clark, who was selected first overall by the Fever, left her imprint when she started her career as a professional basketball player.
A’ja Wilson flaunted her physique by wearing a black and red leather jacket, matching miniskirt, and heels to her Las Vegas Aces debut. Kelsey Plum joined her, sporting a slick, glossy black, tough costume complete with sunglasses, as she embraced her Kanye West sense of style.
Together, they performed admirably on the court, defeating the Phoenix Mercury 89-80 with Wilson scoring 30 points and pulling down 13 rebounds and Plum scoring 19 points.
