Josh Hart Labels Timberwolves Assistant Coach an “Idiot” for Playing PIG With Anthony Edwards

Josh Hart plays an important role for the New York Knicks and is also a social media troll and locker-room joker. The forward takes pleasure in making fun of his colleagues, and even his former coworkers are vulnerable to his verbal taunts. His comment on X, the former Twitter platform, regarding Minnesota Timberwolves assistant coach Joe Boylan, whom he labeled a “idiot,” serves as an example.

In PIG, a game where a player hits a tough shot and the opposition must copy it, the two players continue to play until one of them is unable to make three shots. Dallas Mavericks beat reporter Joey Mistretta shared a video of Boylan defeating Anthony Edwards in PIG.

Josh Hart blasts the Timberwolves assistant coach

The assistant coach for the Timberwolves faced Anthony Edwards, who shot with his left hand, which made the game more difficult for him. Boylan angrily exclaimed, “I run the pig game around here!” after defeating the young guard. Boylan made an effort, but Hart wasn’t too impressed and made fun of him.

While some may find Hart’s verbal assault on the coach of another team puzzling, it’s all in joke. During their time together with the New Orleans Pelicans, the forward and Boylan developed a strong working relationship. Hart once gave the assistant coach a headshake during an interview because they are so at ease with one another, and the coach just laughed it off.

Hart’s remark can be interpreted as insulting despite their connection, but only by people who are not familiar of his antics on social media.
