Bronny James gained attention at the NBA Draft Combine, which appears to have altered many people’s opinions on the young player. The 19-year-old’s shooting prowess and capacity for handling pressure are receiving accolades. Numerous media figures praised him following the Combine, and Kevin Garnett recently joined the club in a recent episode of KG Certified.
In an interview with Paul Pierce, the former NBA player described the qualities in Bronny that led him to draw comparisons between the young player and the legendary Kobe Bryant.
KG stated,
“Bronny looks really good, P. He looks really good. He looks poised. Also, He looks like he wasn’t rattled by everything that was going around. He looked like he was used to the moment.”
Kevin Garnett backs Bronny James to succeed publicly
The 19-year-old, in KG’s opinion, is prepared to go to the major leagues and establish himself. The Big Ticket is even prepared to publicly plead Bronny’s case in regards to his prospects of making it into the NBA. He said,
“If I am a team, bro, I would actually take a chance on that because greatness runs through bro’s veins.”
Additionally, KG thinks that he can only get better from here, particularly after going through a growth spurt and gaining some league experience. The legendary player for the Celtics made his argument by citing Kobe Bryant.
He claimed that in the 1996 Draft, the Mamba was a scrawny-looking young player. This is the reason why teams were drawn to him, and a few years after joining the Lakers, Kobe rose to the status of one of the best players of all time. As if being the son of LeBron wasn’t already enough pressure, young Bronny now needs to emulate Kobe.
