Luka Doncic’s Availability for the Mavericks-Wolves Game a Concern

When the vast majority of NBA fans supported the Minnesota Timberwolves to win the Western Conference Finals, the Dallas Mavericks were treated with extreme disdain. The guys led by Jason Kidd appeared to have taken offense and made the decision to seize the initiative early in the season. The Mavericks managed to win Game 1, but with Luka Doncic struggling with several injuries, their prospects of winning 2-0 don’t seem as good.

The Dallas Mavericks have added three players to the horrifying list, while the Minnesota Timberwolves have only added one player—Mike Conley—on the official injury report.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper and Maxi Kleber will regrettably be “out.” Luka Doncic, however, is thought to be “probable.”

Due to discomfort in his left ankle and right knee, Luka Doncic has frequently been added to the injury report. Doncic has been coping with the soreness since the Clippers series. Nevertheless, he has been in every postseason game, scoring 27.7 points, pulling down 9.4 rebounds, and dishing out 9 assists in 41.9 minutes per contest on average (per StatMuse).

Doncic was asked to discuss his injury progress before to the start of Game 1 of the current series. Following his declaration that he was “good,” the 2024 All-NBA First Team member stated:

“I don’t know. I don’t know. We’ll see today, honestly. Didn’t do much. Just a couple of things. All day, just rest [and] treat. That’s about it.”
