The Los Angeles Lakers retired both of Kobe Bryant‘s jersey numbers in December 2017 as a way of paying tribute to the amazing 20-year career he had with the team. The team was motivated to push the Golden State Warriors, the reigning champions, to their limits by the five-time NBA champion’s presence on the field. But instead of staying to watch if the Lakers could pull off the surprise victory, Bryant left the building with his family to take advantage of another gift: a private Kendrick Lamar event.
A video from the celebration showed Bryant dancing and having a great time with his wife Vannessa, while Kendrick performed a sensual rendition of his popular song “Humble.”
