The content creator faces two counts of first-degree murder. He pled not guilty to the charges and chose to defend himself in court. Furthermore, Ali gave a dramatic recount of the day he killed his wife and her friend Rayburn Cardenas Barron.
Abulaban’s defense team argued that he was “out of his mind” when he committed the murders. He stated that he was “double-nostril-ing” cocaine just before entering the residence.
Ali testified that he was staying at a hotel to give his wife “space.” Prosecutors argued that Ana forced him to leave after she caught him cheating. The TikToker sent flowers and groceries on the day of the murders as a kind gesture. He said Ana acknowledged the groceries but mentioned nothing of the flowers. She’s f****** lying.” Ali testified, “That set me off.” Furthermore, he decided to use his daughter’s iPad to download a recording app to “catch” Ana having sex. He hid it in a “discreet” location in her bedroom. Then, Abulaban returned to his hotel and fell asleep, but he was awoken by a man’s laughter and Ana’s voice.

“Immediately, I’m like, oh my god, that’s Ana, who’s that man?” he testified. He hopped in his whip and rushed to the home. As he drove, Ali listened to the convo in real time as he shoved cocaine up his nose. The digital creator stated it was “probably the most coke I’ve ever done in a single moment.”Abulaban said he wanted his presence to prevent them from sealing the deal. He stated that he heard his wife tell Rayburn that he purchased her “cheap a** flowers.” He said, “They were making fun of me.” When he entered the apartment, Ali told the court that he was “immediately startled” because he assumed they would be in the bedroom because their voices were so clear through the recording app. He claims they were “cuddling on the couch.” “I didn’t expect Ana would ever do that to me. Him of all people. She knew how I felt about him,” Abulaban said.”

He said that he didn’t remember shooting his wife but recalled hearing her “screaming and crying.” Ali then phoned his parents and told them what occurred. Afterward, he called the police. He said he didn’t immediately tell law enforcement that he was the murderer because he wanted to pick their daughter up from school. Ali testified that after he retrieved his baby girl, she asked, “Where’s mom?” and he responded, “I hurt Mommy.”
