Two Teams That Will Bounce Back in the 2024 NFL Season

NFL has not yet taken center stage in the American sporting landscape, mainly because the NBAA has reached the latter stages of the playoffs. However, the Finals will soon be done and dusted, and all eyes will return to the gridiron once more. The reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs will raise the curtain as they kick off their quest for an unprecedented threepeat when they host the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead on September 5th in a repeat of last year’s AFC Championship game.

New Season

As the 2024 NFL season approaches, fans, analysts, and even online casinos are abuzz with anticipation. CASINOenquirer compares the best Canadian online casinos, and one of their featured sites has combined gridiron football and table games by creating Gridiron Roulette in anticipation of the new campaign. The game can be found on Dream Vegas, which offers up to a C$7,500 welcome bonus to all new members and 50 free spins.

Closer to the field, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Chicago Bears await the new season with bated breath. And here’s why.

Cincinnati Bengals

Victory-hungry Bengals aim to prove themselves after a disappointing 2023 campaign. Last year, things started as they tend to do for Cincy: shock defeats in the opening weeks before battling back and reeling off a string of impressive victories against the Buffalo Bills and the San Francisco 49ers. Just when it looked like they had turned a corner and a third straight trip to the postseason was on the cards, superstar quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending injury, and their hopes were curtailed.

This season, the former Heisman winner is, once again, firing on all cylinders. He will be among those leading his team back to the AFC Championship game for the third time in four years, and who knows where beyond there.

Offensive Firepower: The Bengals don’t just have Jackpot Joey. Wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins have both shown their capabilities throughout the last two years. With the two of them on song, Cincy can dominate through the air. Additionally, running back Joe Mixon is also no slouch, and his abilities make the Bengals’ offence multifaceted and dangerous.

Chicago Bears

The Bears are on the brink of a new era, with fresh talent and strategic adjustments setting the stage for success. The addition of Caleb Williams with the first overall pick of the 2024 draft has brought a fresh wave of optimism to the Windy City, and the former USC Trojan will surely be a hit at Soldier Field. With the addition of fellow first-rounder, wide receiver Rome Odunze, it’s clear why the Bears will be confident of turning their fortunes around.

Coaching Changes: The Bears made significant coaching changes, bringing in a new offensive passing game coordinator, Thomas Brown, known for innovative play-calling and maximizing quarterback strengths. This fresh perspective is expected to unlock Williams’ potential and enhance the overall offensive strategy. Should the change work out as expected, don’t be surprised to see the Bears battle it out with the Detroit Lions at the top of the NFC North.
