Isaiah Buggs, a defensive lineman with the Kansas City Chiefs, was taken into custody in Tuscaloosa. As to the records of Tuscaloosa County Jail, Buggs is accused of second-degree domestic violence along with burglary. Tuscaloosa Patch reporter Ryan Phillips broke the initial news of the arrest.
Buggs was charged with animal abuse in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, just a few weeks prior to his arrest. After two canines were discovered at a house Buggs was renting in bad condition—dirty, claustrophobic, and without food or water—the authorities charged him with second-degree cruelty to dogs or cats.
His tenancy was terminated on April 15th for unpaid rent of $3,000, which resulted in the issue of two misdemeanor warrants.
Isaiah Buggs and his indiscipline
Buggs posted bond and turned himself in to Tuscaloosa police in response to these accusations. Trey Robinson, his agent, asserted that the accusations were a ploy by the city’s authorities to compel Buggs to shut down his hookah cafe.

Robinson said,
“Isaiah vehemently denies the truthfulness of the allegations and charges asserted against him today,”
“Under no circumstances does Mr. Buggs condone the mistreatment of any animal. The dogs at issue did not belong to him, and he was unaware they remained at the property in question.
“We believe the City of Tuscaloosa’s decision to file charges today is part of a concerted effort to besmirch Mr. Buggs’ name and reputation as part of an ongoing subversive campaign to force the closure of his local business, Kings Hookah Lounge.“
