Where Bronny James will be selected in the 2024 NBA Draft is one of the most fascinating storylines surrounding the draft. One of the most controversial prospects in a contentious draft, LeBron James‘ elder son is projected to go somewhere between the 20s and 58th overall—the last choice.
Opinions were divided over Bronny’s one NCAA season with the USC Trojans. His defense has drawn praise from some, and his performance at the Draft Combine showed that he has what it takes to be a 3-point specialist.
Although Bronny has been deemed fit after suffering a heart arrest last summer, teams are nonetheless concerned because he played less than 500 minutes at the collegiate level. However, contacting Bronny’s camp at all is a fresh concern for executives and draft specialists.
Bronny James is being quite picky
NBA draft expert Jonathan Givony said that organizations are having trouble getting Bronny into their facilities so they can work out. It appears that Bronny and his group have reduced their preferred teams to just a few at this stage of the draft process, with the event itself taking place in less than a week.
Givony stated on Tuesday,
“NBA teams that I talk to say they cannot (get) Bronny James into their building,” “(These are) teams that are drafting in the late 20s and the 30s.”

Of course, the Los Angeles Lakers, where LeBron has played since 2018, are one team that is considering Bronny. The Lakers have two picks in this draft (17 and 55), and many predict that they will select Bronny with the latter.
Phoenix is the only other location where there is mutual interest; later this week, Bronny is set to work out again with the Suns there. Although Phoenix will start the draft with the 22nd overall pick, there are others who think it will trade down to get additional draft capital before choosing Bronny in the second round.
In an attempt to ensure that LeBron’s son becomes a reliable role player and perhaps more, it looks as though these two Western Conference heavyweights will compete for the privilege of selecting him in the draft. When the draft begins from Barclays Center in New York City, everything will become obvious.
