Although star Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark was momentarily sidelined by the media following the team’s triumph on May 24, the WNBA team’s season is largely dogged by a losing streak of 1-8, which defies all chances. All eyes are on Clark with 31 games left in the regular season; he cannot afford to receive a technical foul call after the third count.
Rivals of Indiana Fever will focus specifically on the 22-year-old star, trying to find a way to keep her off the court.

What was the reason behind Caitlin Clark’s Thursday technical foul?
Indiana trailed Seattle 34–25 before the half. It was a close call, but Caitlin’s three-pointer saved her squad. But Vivians didn’t give her any peace, and as they were sprinting down the court, the two became entangled in a violent exchange. Everybody received a technical for the intense battle.
Clark was supported by Fever coach Christie Sides during a subsequent face-off. Just before she was called for a technical foul in the third quarter, she got into a fight with the referee.
After their defeat, Sides criticized Seattle’s Sami Whitcomb for his offensive fouls against Clark, which went uncalled. Sides said,
“I feel like they’re getting some calls that’s happening on our end as well, and I just don’t feel like we’re getting some of those.”
Her past technical fouls resulted from her verbally abusing officials. She received a technical flag after telling the referee, “It’s a f**king foul,” after a play that didn’t call for the referee to blow his whistle during a crushing loss to the Connecticut Sun.
