Jeff Teague Trolls Charles Barkley And It’s All Good Hearted Banter

In the age of podcasts, Jeff Teague has successfully drawn in an NBA audience with his interesting perspectives. Teague’s humorous jab against Charles Barkley demonstrates why his podcast is so well-liked. Charles Barkley, the legendary player for the Philadelphia 76ers, was singled out by Teague during their discussion on the Inside the NBA crew’s final season on TNT.

In a recent episode of his Club 520 Podcast, Jeff Teague discussed how the Inside crew may go all out with their humor and banter in 2019 because it might be their last year together. TNT is not one of the front-runners to sign an NBA TV deal the following season.

Consequently, Teague made the decision to acknowledge the TNT panelists, Charles Barkley among them.

“Shout-out to Chuck man… Ah, no. I won a chip, my fault there…Nah, I’m just playing. He’d be like, ‘What the f**k did you do?’ I’m just playing Chuck, I’m joking bro. Shout-out to you, B.”

Jeff Teague continues to mock Charles Barkley regarding Championship Rings

Jeff Teague continued by joking that while Charles Barkley never won a championship while playing in the NBA, he did. Barkley has a Hall of Fame career, but he is frequently made fun of for not owning a ring. Teague chose a similar course of action and then issued an apology.

In his latter years, Teague earned a championship with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021. In contrast, Charles Barkley did come very close to winning it all while he was a member of the Phoenix Suns, but he was unable to overcome the Chicago Bulls under Michael Jordan in the 1993 Finals.

Teague gave Barkley his flowers and made fun of the NBA star before saying that Sir Charles has always been one of his favorite people because of how outspoken he is.

The hosts’ discussion turned to Barkley as they talked about the possible future of TNT’s Inside The NBA program. The 2024–25 NBA season may be the final one in which viewers witness the four co-hosts sparring on TV as TNT’s partnership with the NBA is ultimately set to expire.

Businesses including as Disney, NBC, and Amazon Prime are already scouting a potential multi-billion dollar contract for the NBA’s television rights.
