Over the past several days, the Los Angeles Lakers have made a few hold moves that have drawn attention. In the 2024 NBA Draft, the franchise selected Bronny, the son of LeBron James, with the 55th choice. Nick Young reacted on Gil’s Arena a few weeks back when the Lakers executive management announced JJ Redick as the team’s new head coach.
Gilbert Arenas was optimistic about JJ Redick’s hiring as the Los Angeles Lakers’ new head coach because he thought JJ would lead the team to success. Now, the sources say Redick didn’t talk to LeBron James until after he accepted the Lakers’ offer.

As the discussion continued, Nick Young began to mumble a few words. He said,
“I wish I could wake up white man and do some sh*t I wish I could’ve… ‘I’ve never talked to LeBron’. You believe that sh*t?”
Nick Young made fun of JJ Redick’s remarks by repeating them because it didn’t appear like the former NBA champion took anything Redick had to say seriously. Furthermore, it’s possible that he was hinting that Redick discussed the position with James prior to accepting it.
Conversely, Rashard McCants believes that JJ Redick won’t have a job in two years. He declared,
“I’m telling y’all he going to get fired in two years…”
The former NBA player further emphasized that, despite his playing background, Redick is ineligible to teach players who have accomplished more than he did in his playing career. JJ Redick was a fantastic choice, McCants insisted, to train young players who were just entering the game. However, he will find it difficult to share his philosophy and message with superstars like Anthony Davis and LeBron James, to mention a couple.
