Travis Kelce has shown to be an amazing performer. The tight end has a natural flare for entertaining, whether it’s through his antics on the football field during celebrations or his comedy while hanging out with his brother in New Heights. And now he’s headed to entertain the public on the big screen, the traditional method. But every new project has its share of difficulties.
The newest project for the Chiefs‘ Tight End is an appearance in Ryan Murphy’s horror series Grotesquerie on FX. As the tight end prepared for his big screen debut, he talked about the kinds of obstacles he had to overcome and how he approached an acting opportunity.
There were two main obstacles Travis had to overcome to play the part. First of all, he had trouble projecting the feelings that a given scene required. Second, it was difficult for the tight end to see a moment in the screenplay as it would appear on the set.
He did, however, clarify in his GMA interview that being an athlete means he must be willing to receive coaching. And it was precisely the trait that helped him during his time as an actor on the FX series. “It’s challenging, but I can be coached—that’s one thing I know from playing sports,” he remarked.
It’s interesting to see that the athlete will continue to dabble in acting. He has several projects in mind and has always wanted to work in the entertainment industry.
