Bronny James, who was selected 55th overall in this year’s NBA draft, rose to become one of the most despised hoopers in the world as a result of the suspicions of nepotism that surrounded James Jr.’s selection. LeBron James, who is also his newest teammate, appears to be certain that none of the commotion is reaching his oldest kid.
James recently discussed his experience witnessing his kid get drafted in an interview with ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. The 39-year-old called it “special” to witness his oldest son, Bronny, be selected by the Lakers since “The Akron Hammer” had always desired to play alongside his kid.
For the James tribe, aspirations have undoubtedly come true, but with them has come a good dose of hate. LeBron was also questioned by McMenamin about how Bronny was handling all the venom that was directed at him.
LeBron James talks about Bronny’s handling of media
King James clarified that Bronny is impervious to disparaging remarks made about him since, in contrast to his earlier self, he doesn’t care what people think of him. James stated,
“He doesn’t care. I actually care a little bit. When I came in [as a rookie], I wanted people to like me, and some of the things that people were saying about me kind of bothered me early on in my career. … He doesn’t give a f***.
