The game was a real challenge for the American squad, as it was played in front of the biggest basketball crowd ever seen in London.

Only a few days before the Olympics, Germany, the defending FIBA World Cup champions, wanted to leave an impression by upsetting Team USA.

But in the last few minutes, James, as he has done throughout his remarkable career, took command of the match. James scored the final 11 points for the United States on a flawless 4-of-4 shooting, sealing a 92-88 victory with less than four minutes remaining, with Germany leading 82-81.

A team-high 20 points, six rebounds, four assists, a steal, and a block were his final stats. The team had difficulties in addition to moments of brilliance that will need to be resolved prior to the start of the Olympic competition.

With 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, Joel Embiid was a noteworthy player. Anthony Davis and Anthony Edwards contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively, to the lead scored by Stephen Curry, who added 13 points.
