It’s always going to generate headlines when an NFL player is seen wearing a walking boot weeks before the season begins. But in Dak Prescott‘s case—shown in a picture posted by Spanish-language sportscaster Juan Carlos Vasquez—the fact that he is the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys magnifies the news. With a boot on his right foot, the quarterback was sighted in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Every football enthusiast, but particularly Cowboys supporters, can’t help but wonder about his physical condition and worry about his availability for training camp. However, NFL pundit and former running back LeSean McCoy made fun of what Prescott was wearing on his other foot even before FS1’s “Speak” panelists went into great length about this subject.
“Yeah, a quarterback wearing that. I mean, God, Tom Brady is 40 plus! He ain’t running with those on.”
Dak Prescott has his choice of shoes trolled
McCoy asked for the picture to be displayed on the large screen once more and guessed as to whether he was wearing Vans or Toms on the other foot. The all-time top rusher for the Philadelphia Eagles made fun of Dak Prescott, who has made $162.3 million in his career, for his strange choice of shoes. The six-time Pro Bowler hinted that there was more style to Brady’s game than the other quarterback’s.

McCoy continued along this line of thinking by quoting the famous pro football player Deion Sanders, who once said, “You look good, you play good.” The two-time All-Pro running back offered his perspective, stating that if Prescott performs well, the Cowboys will pay a high salary.
Prescott had to wear a walking boot due to a foot sprain, though it’s unclear when the injury occurred. It’s interesting to note that he had to wear an ankle boot in 2020 because of a complicated fracture, which kept him out of five games. Joking aside, training camp won’t begin for another three weeks, so McCoy isn’t worried about Prescott wearing a walking boot just yet. It’s still early July.
