Shaquille O’Neal Discusses List of Stars Who Were Never Selected as All-Stars

We Love to hear what Shaquille O’Neal’s opinon on players from the past.  A few players usually miss out on being chosen for the All-Star game each year. Even though a player might not be chosen once or twice in his career, there have been exceptional players in history who have never been named to the All-Star squad. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, two NBA veterans, offered a list of players from their period that they believe ought to have been All-Stars at least once in their careers.

The two Boston Celtics legends selected players they believed were good enough and deserving of an All-Star spot.

According to Pierce and Garnett, these players never received the All-Star designation, even though their résumé and performance history did back their claims. The list began with “The Truth,” who proceeded to identify “Jamal Crawford.” Swift Stromile. When Swift’s name was mentioned, KG expressed complete astonishment. “Oooh, smile. A special thanks to Stro. Yes, that is a wise choice.

The two continued by listing players from their era who were never selected for the All-Star squad, including Lou Williams, Stephen Jackson, Ricky Davis, J.R. Rider, Robert Horry, and Hedo Türkoğlu.

Shaquille O’Neal noticed the video where the two Celtics legends named these players. The legendary player for the Los Angeles Lakers then posted the footage to his official Instagram Stories.

Although Shaq did not add a statement to the video, it is clear from the fact that he shared it on Instagram that The Big Aristotle agrees with their selections of players who could have been All-Stars.

The two past NBA champions could have added a few more guys to the group of players, though. Several players, including Mike Bibby, Jason Williams, Monta Ellis, Jason Richardson, Josh Smith, and even Rudy Gay, presented compelling arguments for being chosen as All-Stars.

Regretfully, despite their tenure in the league, these players and numerous more similar to them never achieved the same degree of prominence as others. But when you consider some of the guys on Garnett and Pierce’s list, it’s shocking to see that players like Lou Williams and Jamal Crawford were left off of the All-Star roster.

Even more astonishing is the reality that throughout his 16-year NBA career, seven-time champion Robert Horry was never selected for the All-Star squad.
