Spurs Teammates Refer to Victor Wembanyama as “Psycho” After His Recent Olympic Performance

The teams vying for spots in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris received a warning from Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs. He gave an incredible performance in France’s rout of Turkey, 96-46. Jeremy Sochan, a teammate for the Spurs, was astounded by his incredible performance and called him a “psycho.”

With merciless efficiency, Wemby used this field to shoot 11 of 19 shots, including 5 of 9 from beyond the arc, to take advantage of the unfortunate Turkish squad. After seeing the 20-year-old’s astounding stat line, Sochan posted, “Just a psycho player.”

Though Wembanyama was much taller than the Turkish players, he didn’t merely set up shop in the paint. Rather, he advanced the ball, assuming the role of his team’s de facto point guard and setting up opportunities for his teammates and himself to score.

In addition, he made a few stepback three-pointers to further highlight his extraordinary scoring abilities. In just 19 minutes, Wemby scored or assisted 33 of France’s 96 points, just 13 fewer than the Turkish squad. As Sochan follows and applauds his friend’s “psychotic” antics, the rising celebrity does the same.
